I’m Alice Briffa. Welcome to the digital closet of timeless accessories at Lux Affairs Blog.
The Morning the Luxury Market Felt Out of Reach!

I was deep into building e-commerce stores for high-end fashion when I stared at hundreds of product catalogs and realized I couldn’t find a single authentic guide that spoke to real people.
Not because the products weren’t beautiful. They absolutely were. But the advice around them felt robotic, exclusive, and disconnected from the everyday fashion lover.
The designer bags I was analyzing from Hermès and Prada to Gucci and Fendi looked stunning, but their descriptions read like sterile museum plaques. The luxury watches, belts, and sunglasses I was optimizing for online stores were marketed to an untouchable elite, completely ignoring the passionate enthusiasts who simply appreciate exceptional craftsmanship.
I sat down at my desk, looking at my dual-screen setup, and realized something had to change. That was the moment the idea for Lux Affairs Blog started, although I didn’t have the perfect domain name for it until much later.
Why Luxury Enthusiasts Deserve Better Than This

I spend my days as an e-commerce entrepreneur, building custom online stores and dissecting the digital fashion industry. I have analyzed countless luxury catalogs and watched, year after year, as decisions get made about who gets to understand luxury and who gets left out.
Everyday fashion lovers got forgotten. I am not going to pretend otherwise. The marketing budgets were pointed at celebrities. The campaigns were shot for a world most of us don’t live in.
The styling advice we were given was often a mix of two equally exhausting messages: spend recklessly beyond your means, or settle for fast fashion that falls apart in a month.
Neither of those approaches is sustainable. I know because I am the one looking at this screen right now and so are you.
Lux Affairs Blog exists because I decided that if no one else was going to write honestly and accessibly about investing in the perfect Gucci bag, authenticating a Fendi belt, or styling timeless earrings, bracelets, rings, and necklaces in the real world, then I would.
If You’re Standing Where I Stood
I write for people who appreciate the finer details in life but haven’t yet decided how to curate their own signature collection.
You might be:
- Someone who is ready to buy their first Prada bag or high-end watch but feels overwhelmed by the options.
- A professional looking to elevate their everyday style with the right accessories, like a classic belt, a structured hat, or the perfect pair of sunglasses.
- Someone who has spent years buying fast fashion and is finally asking how to invest in pieces that actually last.
- A reader who already has a strong sense of style and is tired of the internet pretending luxury is only for the red carpet.
Whichever of these you are, you will find something here at Lux Affairs Blog. I write the guides I wish I had been able to find when I first entered the luxury e-commerce space.
A Few Things You Should Know About Me
Most About pages tell you the author is passionate about their topic. I am not going to do that.
- I keep meticulous records of every luxury specification I study—from the exact dimensions of a Chanel Classic Flap to the movement details of an Omega watch.
- I am a tech and e-commerce enthusiast based in Pakistan. While I write about high-end fashion, my background is in building custom web applications and optimizing Google Ads.
- I value family above everything. I recently stepped away from a traditional career path to work independently so I could be at home to look after my parents.
- I have a deep appreciation for the classics—not just in fashion, but in everything. (I even have a nostalgic love for classic 2D PC fishing games from 2007).
- I have been immersed in the digital side of fashion for years, using Pinterest and web strategies to connect beautiful products with the people who want them. Now, all that research is the foundation of this site.
How Lux Affairs Blog Earns the Right to Be Read
I take what we publish here personally, because most of the people reading it are looking for trustworthy advice before making a significant investment in a piece of jewelry, a bag, or a watch. I am not interested in being one more voice that gets things wrong.
Every piece of content on Lux Affairs Blog is researched and verified before it is published. We leverage advanced AI tools to structure our guides, but every article goes through a strict editorial review by me.
Every article is edited a second time for clarity, accuracy, and tone before it goes live. When an article is more than a year old, we revisit it and rewrite anything that has aged out of relevance, because trend cycles shift, and a styling guide that was right in 2024 may need an update now.
Any time you see a product link that earns us a commission, or a piece that has been sponsored, it is clearly marked at the top of the article. You will never have to wonder.
That is the standard I hold Lux Affairs Blog to. If we ever fall short of it, I want to hear from you directly.
One Last Thing
If you have read this far, you are probably someone who reads About pages carefully. I respect that. I do the same thing.
So I’ll close with this. There is nothing wrong with wanting to elevate your style. The luxury world can feel intimidating, but the industry’s exclusivity was the problem, not your desire to enjoy beautiful craftsmanship.
Lux Affairs Blog is a small attempt to make that better and more accessible. I’m glad you found us.
